The conscious director
Stop starring in every scene. Direct it.
The end of the practice, and its point: you are no longer the character reacting inside the film, nor the audience lost in it. You are the one composing the frames.
This is not detachment. The director cares about the scene more than anyone; the director simply does not disappear into it. That is the whole of what Transurfing means by being awake.
